Q. What ages can sign up?
A. MYBSA Baseball offers programs for ages 4-18. Softball offers programs for ages 4-16.
Q. What equipment do I need to buy for my child?
A. MYBSA Baseball provides a hat and jersey. MYBSA Softball provides a jersey and hat (if requested).
Baseball players will need: black baseball pants, glove, bat and batting helmet.
Softball players will need: black softball pants, glove, bat, fielder's mask and batting helmet (softball helmets must have a cage).
Optional, but also recommended: cleats, sports bag (to keep all the gear), water bottle, sliding shorts (Pee-wee and up).

Q. Do you offer any used equipment?
A. We usually have used equipment in one of our equipment sheds. If you need something at anytime please reach out to your head coach and they will help you find what you are looking for! (lightly used equipment is always welcome for donation)
Q. Can you help me with what bat to buy for my child?
A. T-Ball through Majors should be looking for a bat with a "USA" stamp. Pony should be looking for a BBCOR bat. Softball should be looking for the USA/ASA softball stamp. Sales associates should be able to help with what size - it depends on the players height, arm length and arm strength.
Q. My child has never played before, can they still sign up?
A. ABSOLUTELY! MYBSA is a recreational/learning/development program.
Q. When do practices start?
A. Group practices start in mid/late March the majority of practices will be outdoor when the weather gets warmer.
Q. Where are games played?
A. T-ball is all played in-house (all home games). All other divisions will be required to travel to play other local teams in addition to home games. Home games will be at 1 of our 4 field locations within the school district.
Q. Who is my coach?
A. MYBSA volunteer coaches will draft teams and you will be contacted by your coach through email or phone. We have an annual parent meeting where you get to meet your coach in person as well. We recommend coaches use the GameChanger App. This will be the form of communication for practices and games moving forward with your coach.
Q. What if my child changes their mind and doesn't want to participate?
A. offers a 100% refund up to the close of registration but 0% refund after.
Q. How long is the season?
A. Games start last week of April/ first week of May. They end around the last week of June. **PONY and COLT start later in the season after traditional Jr. High and High school games are done being played.
Q. Is there playoffs?
A. Yes! Each division will have some type of tournament or playoff. (except T-ball and 6U softball
Q. How will I know how to work concession?
A. It is super easy! And you won't be alone. We have 2 people scheduled for each evening. You will be asked to arrive by 5:45 and will wrap up around 8 pm. There are instructions printed out inside the concession stand on how to make the food and prices.
Q. I own my own business, can I be a sponsor?
A. Yes! Check out the sponsorship page on the website. Even if you do not own your own business, many employers are happy to help sponsor teams.
